Benjamin “Benny” Lorenzi, 78, of Upper Saucon Township died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Elaine (Polli) Lorenzi. He was born in Bronx, N.Y., on July 15, 1937 to the late Ambrogio and Albina (Malpelli) Lorenzi. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Benny was an electrical engineer at E.I. DuPont at various locations for 20 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 46 years; daughters: Michelle Lorenzi Katz (Jonathan) of Elkton, Md., Danielle Jones (Michael) of Morris Plains, N.J.; three grandchildren: Rachel and Daniel Katz, Olivia Jones. He was predeceased by a brother: Mario Lorenzi.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem.
