Light Snow Expected During Friday Morning Rush

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for light snow Friday morning.

In a statement, the NWS said snow is expected to develop across the Lehigh Valley and throughout eastern Pennsylvania between 4 and 7 a.m.

The snow isn’t forecast to amount to much, but could make the morning commute “slippery,” the statement indicated.

Following Friday’s snow, more cold air is forecast to filter into the region, with lows in the single digits predicted Friday and Saturday night.

Saturday’s high is forecast to be just 19 degrees in Hellertown.

The NWS added that “several rounds of wintry precipitation are possible from Monday into the middle of next week.”
