Lower Saucon Township Police say an Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County woman was cited for careless driving after she allegedly fell asleep while driving south on Rt. 412 (Leithsville Road) and caused a three-vehicle accident in the area of Orchard Road on the afternoon of Jan. 22.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said Patricia McCody, of the 1600 block of Singley Lane, struck a northbound vehicle before sliding off the road and striking a car that was parked at Bechdolt’s Orchard.

The impact of that accident pushed the parked car into the building, police added.
