Apartment Complex Proposal on Feb. 4 Council Agenda

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

A proposal to build a 204-unit apartment complex on a 22-acre parcel of land between Friedensville Road and Meadows Road in Lower Saucon Township is on the Feb. 4 township council meeting agenda under “Presentations/Hearings.”

The proposal was first discussed in September, when representatives from Woodmont Properties–a regional real estate company based in New Jersey–outlined it at a council meeting.

At the time, the representatives said the Lower Saucon development would be similar to other “luxury apartment communities” Woodmont has already constructed in the area, including Woodmont Mews in Bethlehem and Woodmont Place at Palmer in Palmer Township.

Council members and township residents expressed concern over sewer capacity in the area, which is limited, and the potential effects of the complex on traffic on Friedensville Road.
