A new restaurant which specializes in a distinctively French food celebrated its grand opening at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley with a ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Monday.
Crepe Soleil features a variety of both sweet and savory crepes, prepared fresh on the premises as customers watch.
A few of the named crepes featured on its menu include:
- Moustache – Nutella, banana and whipped cream
- Pomme – Sauteed apples, cinammon, butter and caramel sauce
- Bonjour – Scrambled egg, smoked salmon, fresh chive and whipped goat cheese
- Marco Polo – Smoked turkey, artichoke, muenster cheese, tomato and basil pesto mayo
- Zeus – BBQ pulled pork and cabbage slaw
Crepe Soleil also offers gluten-free crepes (prepared in a common kitchen), fountain drinks, coffee, tea, specialty coffee drinks, bottled beverages and smoothies.
The business is owned by Seif Zaddem, who with his family recently moved to the area from Saint Martin, France.
Zaddem and family members were on hand to provide a warm welcome to guests at the ribbon-cutting, which was hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and attended by representatives from the chamber, the Promenade Shops and Upper Saucon Township.
Guests were also treated to free beverages and samples of some Crepe Soleil’s signature crepes, including one prepared with brie, prosciutto and fig preserves.
The creperie is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
One amenity many customers will enjoy is free wifi.
