Yianni’s Taverna to Host Greek Wine and Food Fundraiser

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Greek Isles though a wine and culinary experience for a good cause at Yianniās Taverna, 3760 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, onĀ Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m.
The dinner is a fundraiser to benefit the Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation, a local organization thatĀ supports hospice care for families with free donated meals weekly to Hospice House of St. Lukeās, and funding for education and early detection screenings of pancreatic, colon, cervical and liver cancers.
āThis fundraiser will be a fun night of foods, wine and entertainment highlighting different tastes and regions of the Greek Islands for a very good cause,ā said Maria Manakos, co-owner of Yianniās Taverna.
The five-course dinner will feature authentic Greek wines, and a special vegetarian menu will be available upon request.
Entertainment will include a belly dancer, authentic ethnic folk music, and disco pop for dancing after the meal.
Guests can also expect a few surprises, such as a āMy Favorite Spartanā contest. A silent auction of select items will be part of the fun. Artemis Kohas, owner of the Mastiha Shop in SoHo, New York, will be a special guest and will offer special tastings of products made with an ancient sap culled from the Greek Isles.

The Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation has been a recipient of the Heart of Hospice Award from the PA Hospice Network, as well as St. Lukeās University Hospitalās Shining Star Award.
