Ice Cream Fundraiser Will Benefit Morgan’s Magical Ears

Est. Read Time: 1 min

A fundraiser at a local ice cream shop Tuesday will help raise money for a charitable organization started by an area girl who believes in paying it forward.

Morgan’s Magical Ears was started by eight-year-old Morgan Keely, of East Greenville, who is the recipient of bilateral cochlear implants that help her hear.

In gratitude for the gift she has received, Morgan’s organization donates sand buckets filled with stuffed animals and other toys and games to children awaiting surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Morgan Keely, 8, receives a commendation from state Rep. Justin Simmons (left) and state Sen. Bob Mensch.

Keely was recently the recipient of a state citation presented by state Rep. Justin Simmons (R-131) and state Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) in recognition of her efforts.

The June 9 fundraiser is being sponsored by the Saucon Valley LEO Club and will be held at The Inside Scoop, 301 N. Third St., Coopersburg, from 6 to 10 p.m. A portion of all the store’s sales will be donated to the LEOs, who will in turn donate the money to Morgan’s Magical Ears.

All sales count and no flyer is required. A Facebook event page has also been set up.
