Woman Charged After Allegedly Fighting With Cousin in Steel City

A Freemansburg woman was charged with harassment after police say she fought with a female cousin in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive in the Steel City section of Lower Saucon Township.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Krista M. Maurer, of the 700 block of Kossuth Street, fought with Hayley Dreisigmeyer, of the 100 block of Garfield St., Freemansburg, on the afternoon of July 21.

Dreisigmeyer received a minor injury and was evaluated by Dewey EMS but refused transport to a local hospital, police said.

Police did not specify what sparked the alleged altercation.
