Hellertown H&R Block Moving to Main Street

The tax preparer H&R Block plans to move its local office from its current location at 66 W. Water St., Hellertown, to a storefront in the Shoppes at Hellertown on Main Street later this summer, Office Manager Kristina Fish confirmed Tuesday.

She added that signs have already been posted at the office alerting clients to the impending address change.

The move–which Fish said she hopes will be completed by Sept. 1–will result in room to grow and better serve local clients.

Additional parking for customers will also be a plus, Fish added.

The current building in which H&R Block leases space has a limited amount of off-street parking available, and its lot–which is shared with neighboring businesses–fills up fast during tax season.

H&R Block will join businesses such as B&B Pools, DiMaio’s Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria, Dolce Patisserie, Dollar General, Hellertown Diner, National Auto and Saucon True Value in the shopping center along Rt. 412 at the south end of town.

Fish said the relocation requires borough planning commission approval.

The Hellertown Planning Commission next meets on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall, 685 Main St.
