Rash of Thefts from Vehicles on Hilltop Road, Cross Lane, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Monday that numerous unlocked vehicles parked in the Hilltop Road-Cross Lane residential neighborhood off Hickory Hill Road were a target for thieves late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Police said the items taken from the vehicles consisted primarily of loose change, gift cards and shoes.

“Over a dozen (thefts from vehicles) have been reported between two developments,” police said.

Authorities added that the victims reported not having locked their car doors the night before the vehicles were entered.

“Police remind, encourage and advise residents to please remember to lock your doors at night,” the news release said.

Anyone with information about the Aug. 14-15 thefts is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
