It wouldn’t be the holiday season in Hellertown without Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts’ annual Holiday Open House, which this year will be held the weekend of Dec. 4-6. Dec. 4 the store will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the three-day event, almost everything in the store will be discounted 25 percent. Cemetery arrangements will be discounted 10 percent. (Some exclusions apply.)

Included in the sale are fresh wreaths, swags, garland, amaryllis, poinsettias, cactus, unique home decor, ornaments, jewelry, fair trade silk scarves and gloves and more.

Complimentary cookies and punch will be served and visitors will have a chance to win surprise giveaways while shopping and viewing the store’s beautiful holiday displays.

Owner Jackie Bodor said Pondelek’s is also celebrating 73 years in business this year. It is a third-generation, family-owned business that takes pride in its history as well as the customer loyalty that is an important part of its heritage.

Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts is located at 1310 Main St., Hellertown. There is convenient parking located at the rear of the store.

In case of snow, the holiday open house will be held the weekend of Dec. 11-13.
