This weekend’s weather is forecast to be sunny and mild–ideal for a Hellertown home and garden center’s annual Spring Open House on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17.

Neighbors Home & Garden Center, located at 38 Main St., Hellertown, will host a variety of indoor and outdoor events, and feature sales in almost all their departments both days.

In the Power Equipment department, customers will receive free ECHO Powerfuel with the purchase of any ECHO trimmer, chainsaw or blower; a free chainsaw case value pack with the purchase of select ECHO chainsaws; a free ECHO C310 chainsaw with the purchase of an ECHO Bearcat 3” chipper; $20 instant savings on an ECHO GT225 Trimmer or PB250LN Blower; $100 instant savings on a Cub Cadet LX42EFI or LX46 Lawn Tractor; and a free spare chain with the purchase of any Husqvarna chainsaw.

In the Patio Furniture department, save an additional $50 to $200 off select patio furniture and look for sale prices on dining and conversation sets (full sets only, does include clearance sets).

Over in the Nursery department, customers will be able to “Pick a Duck” in order to receive up to 20 percent off their purchase.

The Nursery will also host two free educational seminars by Karen Winkler: A worm seminar on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., and a bee seminar on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Interested in learning how to become a master of the grill this summer?

Then be sure to stop by Saturday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., when there will be a Weber grilling demonstration.

If the watching the demo works up your appetite, there will be hot dogs and sodas for sale to benefit the Hellertown Historical Society all weekend long.

Relay for Life of Saucon Valley volunteers will also have a stand at Neighbors on Sunday.

Of course, pets won’t be left out of the fun, either.

Neighbors will host a weekend-long donation drive to benefit animals in the Lehigh Valley, as well as pet adoptions Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., when volunteers from the Center for Animal Health and Welfare in Easton will be on hand with dogs and cats in need of new homes.

The Neighbors Petting Zoo will be open both days for the little ones to enjoy.

Reps from Blue Buffalo (Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Annamaet (Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Zukes (Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will be at the store to share samples and answer questions.

Bobby Gunther Walsh from WAEB AM 790 will also be broadcasting live from the store Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Neighbors is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
