Saucon Hometown Hero: SV Fifth-Grade Gymnast is State Champion on Bars

Sabrina Theurer competed against other Level 7 gymnasts from throughout Pennsylvania and won first place on the Bars after receiving a nearly perfect score of 9.8.

Saucon Valley student success in athletics continued last weekend, when a fifth-grader from Saucon Valley Elementary School competed in the Pennsylvania State Level 7 Gymnastics Championships at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa., and became a state champion in the process.

Sabrina Theurer competed against other Level 7 gymnasts from throughout Pennsylvania and won first place on the Bars after receiving a nearly perfect score of 9.8.

Sabrina also won second place on the Floor, scoring a 9.45.

“The Saucon Valley community has definitely had an impact in helping to raise champions,” a family member who shared the information with Saucon Source said.
