Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced a new six-week dual enrollment program for rising high school seniors interested in earning college credit this summer.

Students can choose from three different areas of discovery, including Healthcare, Creative Arts and Digital Information at a 50 percent tuition discount.

Classes will be taught by Penn State Lehigh Valley faculty and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 28 through Aug. 4 at the Center Valley campus. As an enhancement to the Discovery Series’ coursework and class time, interested students can meet with a Penn State Lehigh Valley Continuing Education representative to explore potential job shadow opportunities in the field.

This new dual enrollment program gives students the opportunity to take the first step toward a career in a high-demand field by choosing the course option that best fits their interests. The courses are designed to provide a sampler of the major, giving students a unique opportunity to explore while completing college-level coursework and gaining highly transferable credits. The deadline to apply to the Summer Discovery Series is June 17.

For more information about how to apply for the Summer Discovery Series, visit lv.psu.edu/discoveryseries or contact Michael Damweber, Director of Admissions, at md*******@ad********.edu.
