Impact on Young Students’ Futures
“We really look forward to our annual scholarship initiative each year, because we get to have an impact in these students’ lives,” said Allen Schleyer, IESI Bethlehem Landfill District Manager. ”These will be our future leaders in the environmental science and engineering fields.”
This is the 16th consecutive year IESI Bethlehem Landfill has supported local students through its scholarship initiative. In 2015, the Lower Saucon Township-based company, which is owned by Progressive Waste Solutions, awarded 11 scholarships totaling $11,000.
“Thank you to everyone at IESI Bethlehem Landfill for their generous scholarship opportunity and their continued investment in the academic futures of local students,” said John Petruzzelli, Bethlehem Catholic High School Principal. ”Scholarships lighten the financial burden of attaining a higher education for a group of dedicated students as they continue to work towards reaching their goals.”
