The map that lists homes that are participating in Saturday’s Hellertown Community Yard Sale has been published, and it’s a record-breaking document.
Approximately 130 homes are listed on the map, which encompasses two full pages. One page identifies the addresses in North Hellertown that are participating, and the other lists the South Hellertown homes that are on board. Some yard sale participants have also posted detailed information about their sales on Craiglist and yard sale apps like Yard Sale Treasure Map.
The yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. (Saturday’s National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of 83 degrees.)
New this year is participation by a number of borough businesses/organizations, which will be offering sales, specials and raffles. The participating businesses are highlighted in blue on the map, and include Borger’s Rare Coins, Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts, Lost River Caverns, Kindred Spirits Books and Gifts, Saucon Valley Bikes, Advanced Optics, B&B Pools, DiMaio’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, St. Paul United Methodist Church and Hellertown Historical Society.
The ReStore in Whitehall will also be hosting a “Stuff The Truck” event at Hellertown Borough Hall until 4 p.m. to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Donated items will be sold at the ReStore to benefit the organization’s mission to build and rehab homes for local families.
Donations of building supplies, household items, furniture, tools and other items will be accepted (click here for a list of items the ReStore accepts as well as a list of items they do not accept for donation).
Printed copies of the map will be available at both Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., and Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Realtors, 186 Main St., Hellertown.
The Hellertown Community Yard Sale is sponsored by Trish Husted, Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Realtors, and hosted by the Borough Business Revitalization Program, the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce and the GLVCC.
