Katherine L. Furry, 88, of Lower Saucon Township died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016 at Above & Beyond Senior Living, Allentown. She was the wife of Harold “John” C. Furry. She was born in Allentown on June 19, 1928 to the late Levi and Mary (Durn) Hallman. Katherine was a seamstress at home and various textile mills for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Springtown, served on the Altar Guild and was one of the Church Baking Ladies.
SURVIVORS
In addition to her husband of 68 years last June; daughters: Geralyn E. (Ronald C.) Hoffman of Schnecksville, Peggy L. Bankowski of Bethlehem Township, Cindy E. (David G.) Rasich of Hellertown; brother: Rollin L. (Doris) Hallman of Coopersburg; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son-in-law: Richard S. Bankowski; three siblings: Willard, Marjorie, Joseph.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 3224 PA-212, Springtown. The interment will conclude services at New Jerusalem Cemetery, Lower Saucon Township.
