Saucon Valley Football Team Equipment Manager Kerry Kemmerer announced his first “Kerry’s Krunch” award winner sponsored by Main Street Gym live from Braveheart Highland Pub in Hellertown following the Panthers’ victory over Palmerton (35-7) Friday night. The Panthers are now 3-0, after soundly defeating Bangor and Pen Argyl during the first two games of the regular season.

Kerry Kemmerer presented his first "Kerry's Krunch" award to Saucon senior linebacker Stephen Good live on Facebook at Braveheart Highland Pub Friday night.

With a boisterous cheering section in place and Kerry fatheads swaying in the background, Kemmerer announced live on Saucon Source’s Facebook page that the first “Krunch Award” would go to senior linebacker Stephen Good for “the play that sealed it off tonight.”

The play that clinched it for Good, Kemmerer said, was “the big crunching block on the screen pass to Zach Petiet, where he basically just blew over.”

Good had left Braveheart just moments before the announcement was made, but for winning the award he’ll receive a free t-shirt from Main Street Gym, which also sponsored a drawing Friday for a free three-month membership at their facility at 910 Main St., Hellertown. The winner of the free membership was Derek Kares.

Be sure to visit Braveheart Highland Pub, 430 Main St., Hellertown, for the Saucon Source Post-Game Tailgate Party and the announcement of the next Kerry’s Krunch award recipient next Friday, Sept. 17, immediately following the Catasauqua @ Saucon game, which begins at 7 p.m. at the school district stadium.

In addition to another drawing for a free membership to Main Street Gym, Braveheart will offer its weekly beer special during the post-game party, when Panther fans can receive $1 off their first domestic beer when they show their game ticket stub, program or wear red and black (the school’s colors).

The kitchen at Braveheart is open late Fridays (till 11), and there’s the opportunity to mix and mingle with many of the Saucon coaches, fans and players in a sports-friendly establishment that is quickly becoming the place for the #SVPantherNation to be after each football game.
