Antiques Expert, Hellertown Native Harry Rinker Will Appraise Items at HHS Oct. 15

The Hellertown Historical Society invites members and friends to have nationally-famous appraiser and Saucon Valley native Harry Rinker review their items for antique/collectible value on Saturday, Oct. 15 from noon to 4 p.m.

Each reviewed item costs $10 and will require a ticket issued for this purpose.

Proceeds will benefit the historical society.

To purchase tickets, download and print the ticket request form on the historical society’s website and return it to Hellertown Historical Society, 150 W. Walnut St., Hellertown, PA 18055. Checks should be made payable to the Hellertown Historical Society.

If you cannot download/print the form, call the society at 610-838-1770 to request that a form be sent.

Once the completed form(s) with payment in full are received, ticket(s) will be immediately mailed by USPS.

There is a limit of three tickets per person, six per couple and 140 overall. Tickets will be sold on a ā€œfirst come, first servedā€ basis.

Harry Rinker writes a weekly syndicated column, ā€œRinker on Collectibles,ā€ and also hosts aĀ nationally-syndicated antiques and collectibles radio call-in show called ā€œWhatcha Got?ā€

He currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of English and Communications at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Mich., according to the biography published on his website.

Rinker is a 1959 graduate of the former Hellertown-Lower Saucon High School and was inducted into the Saucon Valley Alumni Association’s inaugural Wall of Fame in 2015.
