Hellertown Woman, Passenger Hurt in Fatal Haycock Township Wreck

A 48-year-old Hellertown woman and a 17-year-old boy who was her passenger were injured when their car was struck head-on by a 26-year-old Warrington, Bucks County, woman, on Rt. 563 in Haycock Township, Bucks County, Wednesday night.

A 48-year-old Hellertown woman and a 17-year-old boy who was her passenger were injured when their car was struck head-on by a 26-year-old Warrington, Bucks County, woman, on Rt. 563 south of Old Bethlehem Road, near Lake Nockamixon in Haycock Township shortly after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Express-Times reported Thursday.

According to the article, the woman–who has yet to be named–was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital, Quakertown, where she was pronounced dead following the accident in which authorities say she swerved into an opposing lane of travel.

The accident remains under investigation.
