The first frost of the season could blanket parts of the area–including the Saucon Valley–Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a Frost Advisory from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Temperatures are forecast to fall to the low to mid 30s, with scattered frost possible throughout Lehigh, Northampton and Upper Bucks counties, the NWS said.

Since sensitive plants could be damaged by a frost, residents of the area should take precautions to protect them, such as bringing them inside or covering them.

Tuesday’s high temperature is forecast to be 66, and highs in the low 70s are possible by Thursday. Low temperatures the rest of the week are forecast to be in the 40s.
