Seventeen-year-old Aubrey Verba of Hellertown “is classified as a runaway and not missing,” Jeremy Verba said. “She has had contact with people.”

Verba said police are continuing to work on the case and are investigating “about 20 (leads), but nothing concrete.” Aubrey has also been entered into a database that records information about runaways.

Aubrey Verba is a student at Saucon Valley High School, which is where she was last seen before apparently choosing to leave home.

Over the weekend her parents began asking for help in locating her via Facebook, which helped the story gather attention.

A story about Aubrey published Monday morning by Saucon Source had been shared more than 9,000 times on Facebook and seen by approximately 83,000 Facebook users as of late Tuesday.

The interest in helping locate Aubrey, however, has still not led to a solid lead on her location, which Jeremy Verba admitted is frustrating.

He said he is also limited in what he can say about his daughter’s case because she is a minor classified as a runaway.
