Dino Zaharakis is congratulated on his Week 6 Kerry’s Krunch award by the “Krunchmaster,” Kerry Kemmerer.

Congratulations to Kerry’s Krunch Week 6 winner Dino Zaharakis (#30)!

Zaharakis, a senior member of the Saucon Valley football team (7-1), was overdue for the award, host Kerry Kemmerer said during the Friday, Oct. 14 live broadcast of Kerry’s Krunch from Braveheart Highland Pub.

In addition to a fumble recovery play he made against Wilson Friday (below), “he’s been up there with tackles every week,” Kemmerer said in naming him the winner.

In fact, Zaharakis is the Panthers’ leading tackler this season, with 72 tackles so far, or an average of nine tackles per game.

Along with the other recipients of the Kerry’s Krunch award, at the end of the season he will receive a complimentary t-shirt from sponsor Main Street Gym, whose owner Kevin Branco was the special guest in Kerry’s Korner last Friday.

Who will be the next special guest on Kerry’s Krunch?

Visit Braveheart Highland Pub at 430 Main Street, Hellertown, Friday after 9:30 p.m. to find out during the Saucon Source Post-Game Tailgate Party.

The party begins immediately following the Panthers’ game at Notre Dame-Green Pond, which starts at 7:05 p.m. and will be aired live on RCN cable TV at the pub.

After 9:30 p.m. Friday, enjoy $2 Miller Lite drafts and $5 chips and dip appetizers.

Kerry’s Krunch will be broadcast on Saucon Source’s Facebook page live from Kerry’s Korner after 10 p.m.
