The 2016 Saucon Valley Spirit Parade drew thousands of spectators to Hellertown Sunday. Under blue skies, local residents watch six divisions of floats, bands and marchers go by.
“This year more than ever I thought people took a lot of thought and pride into their presentations,” Parade Chairman David Heintzelman said in announcing the results Monday. “I personally believe all of the entries were winners.”
Heintzelman issued special thanks to the Mayor of Hellertown, Hellertown Borough and Lower Saucon Township councils, the local police and public works departments, the parade judges, the announcers, Service Electric TV2, Silver Creek Country Club, food vendors, the parade volunteers and members of the community for helping make the 2016 Spirit Parade another memorable, fun event.
