Saucon Kindergartner Making a Name for Himself in Motocross
Caiden Cratty of Hellertown was born with motocross in his blood. The Saucon Valley kindergartner is already devoted to the sport.
Caiden Cratty of Hellertown was born with motocross in his blood, so to speak.
At just five years old and in kindergarten at Saucon Valley Elementary School, Caiden’s grandfather William Billig used to race, his mom Alicia Billig-Cratty said.

“Caiden’s interest in motocross grew since becoming best friends with Trey Willson, a fellow junior motocross racer,” she explained recently.
He rides a Yamaha PW50 and will be racing in the American Motorcycle Association’s (AMA) District 6 five-to-seven-year old PW5O class, she said.
Races are held locally in Steel City, Lower Saucon Township, as well as at Pagoda Motorcycle Club in Birdsboro, Rausch Creek in Pine Grove and at tracks in New Jersey.
“Caiden rides locally on the weekends to prep for when the season starts (in March),” Billig-Cratty told Saucon Source. “He has an interest in anything that moves and he’s very hands on. He actively participates in ‘helping’ dad with regular bike maintenance.”
Especially given his age, safety is a huge concern for Caiden and his parents, who said he always wears a helmet, goggles, neck brace, kidney belt, gloves and boots when he’s on his bike.
When he’s not competing in motocross, Caiden hopes to be wrestling and will be trying out for that this winter when he’s not able to race, his mom said.
The family will be seeking sponsors for Caiden’s 2017 motocross season to help cover some of the costs of maintenance as well as some new vehicle parts he will need.
“He rides a 2-stroke so we will be tearing the motor down and replacing the rings and piston in the winter preparing for race season, (and) also replacing brakes and the throttle cable and handlebar grips,” his mom said.
“I’m reaching out for sponsors a bit early so I can have decals and shirts made up prior to him starting to race,” Billig-Cratty added.
If you are interesting in becoming a sponsor, or for more information, Alicia Billig-Cratty can be reached at kailcaidsmom01@gmail.com.
Caiden also has his own Instagram account: @ctc_racing107.
“District 6 and AMA do keep track of points earned for each race but since he is so young I’m not making a big deal out of placing,” Billig-Cratty emphasized. “My goal is to have him start and finish each race and learn about sportsmanship!”
