The Morning Call reported Friday that an iconic Mexican restaurant in Hellertown that was recently sold will close by late November and reopen several weeks later as an upscale eatery specializing in modern American cuisine.
Ricardo’s Original Tavern House–owned by Brenda and Rick Rodriguez, and a fixture on Main Street since the late 1960s when it was Rick’s grandparents’ Pancho’s Villa–has been purchased by Kim Culver-Adams and Richard Adams of Lower Saucon Township, who plan to rename it 1774 Grill, renovate the interior and serve a menu that emphasizes fresh, local and organic ingredients, the article indicated.
