Loose Dog Killed Chickens in Nearby Coop, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a Steel City man has been cited for a dog law violation–Confinement of Dogs–after his dog allegedly got loose and attacked some chickens in a nearby coop in the 2000 block of Schwab Avenue Monday morning.

Lower Saucon Township Police say a Steel City man has been cited for a dog law violation–Confinement of Dogs–after his dog allegedly got loose and attacked some chickens in a nearby coop in the 2000 block of Schwab Avenue Monday morning.

In a news release Tuesday, police said the dog owned by Christopher Rahs, 24, of the 2100 block of Mixsell Avenue got out of his residence, and “broke through a fence on a chicken coop, killing two chickens and wounding one” shortly after 11 a.m.
