Although winter’s just getting under way, it’s already time to begin thinking about one of the most popular spring sports for youth in the area.

Saucon Valley’s youth lacrosse program has announced that their 2017 Spring Registration for boys and girls, grades K-8, is now open.

Registration is open through Tuesday, Jan. 31, and interested parents should visit www.sauconvalleylax.org for more information and/or to register online.

“Lacrosse is currently the fastest-growing sport in the United States,” Saucon Valley Lacrosse said. “We are proud to have grown our local program since its inception in 2006. Saucon Valley Lacrosse Club is a recreational youth lacrosse program which provides children in the Saucon Valley community an opportunity to participate in the sport, both at beginning and advanced levels.”

Preseason practices start at the end of February or early March and run through mid to late May. The youth program provides a quality learning experience in a safe environment that combines sportsmanship, competitive and/or developmental skill enhancement with team and community spirit. Also, children do not need to attend Saucon Valley schools to participate.
