Shirley L. Beckage, 68, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of George A. Beckage.

Shirley L. Beckage, 68, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of George A. Beckage. She was born in Allentown on Sept. 14, 1948 to the late Charles and Marguerite (Michel) Gruver. She worked for 45 years at SureFit, Bethlehem, until her retirement. Shirley was a member of St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her husband of 50 years; children: Sherry L. (Allen R.) Koch of Bethlehem, Denise M. (Michael) Martin of Hellertown; siblings: Dave Reis and Loretta Wright, both of Allentown, Carol Huff in New Jersey, Betty Gerhard of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Tiffany Amato and Allie Martin; great-grandchildren: Emma Farley. She was predeceased by siblings.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, 617 E. 4th St., Bethlehem. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
