Lower Saucon Township Police want to identify two men they say posed as PPL workers to get into the basement of a home in the 2000 block of Easton Road Tuesday at around 4 p.m.

In a news release, police said the men told a female resident they were power company employees who were “checking for overages in the home.”

After they were allowed inside, it’s believed they left the home without taking any items, police said.

PPL later confirmed they had no employees in the area and police say they are investigating the incident as a case of attempted fraud.

Anyone with information about who the men were is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.

Police also urged residents to be cautious about who they allow into their homes.

“Similar incidents should be reported to police immediately,” they said.
