Ruth Mellor McCoy, age 96, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2017 at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Freda Mellor. Her loving sister, Jeannette G. Mellor, also predeceased her. She was a longtime resident of Hellertown and Bethlehem and an active member of Mountainview Moravian Church in Hellertown. She was employed in the property tax division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. and kept busy in her post-retirement years as a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital and various charities. Her children are deeply grateful to their father for the loving care and devotion given to her during her illness.
