A man who is one of two suspects charged in the recent theft of numerous packages from homes in Lower Saucon Township is now facing additional charges because–according to police–he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car while he was at the township police station being interviewed about the package thefts.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Steven Alexis Ramsamy-Figueroa, 20, of the 1100 block of E. Garfield Street, Bethlehem, consented to a search of his vehicle in the police station parking lot while he was at headquarters being questioned on the morning of Feb. 6.

Police said officers found a small amount of marijuana and a smoking device in the vehicle, for which Ramsamy-Figueroa has been charged.

Ramsamy-Figueroa’s alleged co-conspirator in the package thefts, Tiare Gillins, 19, of Bethlehem, was also present and was also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
