Mark D. Thompson, 57, of Upper Saucon Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at Lehigh Center, Upper Macungie Township.

Mark D. Thompson, 57, of Upper Saucon Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at Lehigh Center, Upper Macungie Township. He was born in Brunswick, Me., on Dec. 19, 1959 to Mary A. (Katona) Thompson of Center Valley and the late Richard J. Thompson. He worked for Interstate Road Management as a supply truck driver for five years and for B&B Pools, Hellertown, as an installer of pools.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his mother; son: Joshuah M. (Victoria B.) Thompson of Zionsville; siblings: Patrick A. (Kim M. Godown) of Bethlehem Township; Marie E. Thompson of New Bern, N.C., Kathy A. (Greg A.) Szakmeister of New Bern, N.C.; nephew: Drew Szakmeister of Pen Argyl. He was predeceased by a brother: James Joseph “Jimmy” Thompson.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour Friday will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
