Robert S. Crouse, 87, of Durham Township died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 in the home in which he was born. He was the husband of Esther I. (Melchor) Crouse.

Robert S. Crouse, 87, of Durham Township died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 in the home in which he was born. He was the husband of Esther I. (Melchor) Crouse. Born on Sept. 7, 1929 to the late Benjamin F. and Esther (Frankenfield) Crouse, Robert owned and operated Durham Crest Farm, which is still owned and operated by his family. He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham, where he was a past council member, usher, property committee member and former member of the Cemetery Board. He was a member of Lehigh Valley Dairy, the Bucks County and National Holstein associations and the Northampton Farm Bureau. Robert enjoyed farm sales, traveling, reading, hunting and watching professional wrestling.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 63 years last March 28; children: Nancy J. (Frank J.) Moskella of Easton, Donald R. (Mary E.) Crouse of Riegelsville, Diane S. (Steven R.) Dewalt of Easton, Bruce W. (Lisa G.) Crouse of Riegelsville; grandchildren: Jennifer, Shawn, Matthew, Rachel, Laura, Kelvin, Nicole, Alex; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Makayla, Mason. He was predeceased by siblings: Paul, Maynard, Edward Crouse and Ann Kichline.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 821 Durham Road, Durham, Pa. The calling hour Saturday will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Durham Cemetery, Durham Township.
