Doris E. (LeComte) Stephens, 86, of Lower Saucon Township, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home. She was the widow of LeRoy A. Stephens (died May 27, 2009). She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 19, 1930 to the late Emmanuel E. and Florence LeComte. She was an executive assistant at the former Laros Silk Mill, Allentown for many years until retiring. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bethlehem (Colesville) and a past officer of the Red Hat Ladies. Doris was a social person who enjoyed being around her peers and loved telling jokes/stories. It was her desire at the time of her service to celebrate with family and friends her legacy by including a dinner and entertainment following her funeral. Her legacy is one of giving, being compassionate and understanding, and always remaining positive with the people who came in touch with her.

SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at her parish, 4101 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem.
