3 Charged in L. Saucon Driveway Paving Scam, Police Say

Three people have been charged in connection with a driveway paving scam police say targeted elderly victims in the 2000 block of Springtown Hill Road and the 3000 block of Drifting Drive in Lower Saucon Township in late January.

Three people have been charged in connection with a driveway paving scam police say targeted elderly victims in the 2000 block of Springtown Hill Road and the 3000 block of Drifting Drive in Lower Saucon Township in late January.

According to a police news release issued Wednesday, the elderly victims were “tricked into writing checks ($4,500 and $800) for driveway work that was never completed.”

Charged are:

  • John K. Williams Jr., 57, of the first block of Oneil Street, Troy, N.Y., with home improvement fraud, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and theft by deception
  • Richard James Attenborough, 19, of the 100 block of Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem Township, with two counts of home improvement fraud and two counts of criminal conspiracy
  • Stevee Paige A. Castle-Lagerquist, 25, of the first block of Sun Meadows Way, Baldwinsville, N.Y., with conspiracy to commit theft by deception
