Temperatures were warm but the weather was pleasant for the first free concert of the summer presented by Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of Hellertown, with support from local business sponsors.

The Large Flowerheads–a popular cover band that performs hits from the 1960s and 1970s–drew a large crowd to Dimmick Park Sunday night for a two-hour show at the bandshell.

Refreshments were available at the newly-renovated park pavilion and from food trucks, and the concert was notably the first held in the park to be BYOB. Lost Tavern Brewing and Sleepy Cat Winery also sold libations.

The next concert in the five-concert summer series will be Sunday, June 18 at 6 p.m., when area country band Crazy Hearts will take to the Dimmick Park stage.
