Tim Weaver likes pancakes!

The Panthers overcame a slow start to eventually take the Wilson Warriors out behind the woodshed with a 42-14 victory.  Once again, the game provided Panther Nation with highlights abound.  This week Saucon Source is going to focus on a couple of “option” plays that are becoming a staple in the Panther offense.  Check out these great Panther plays!

On this “option” play Panther quarterback Alstan Wolfe, with a little help from Zach Petiet, keeps the defensive end guessing and gets him to widen just enough to create an inside running lane for himself.  Wolfe will take it to the house, but watch the blocking out in front of the play where all 6’4″, 270 pounds of “Big Tim” Weaver works downfield and simply launches the Wilson defender and sends the Warrior tumbling to the turf.

As a bonus feature, check out this beautifully executed “speed option” play between quarterback Alstan Wolfe and running-back Zach Petiet.  Wolfe takes the shotgun snap and attacks the inside shoulder of the Warrior defensive end.  Once the defensive end commits toward Wolfe, the pitch is made and Petiet takes it to the house.

For the football addict, this is poetry in motion!

Great Job Panthers, the Source is with you!
