Robert L. Ettl, 91, of Lower Macungie Township, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House of Lower Saucon Township.

Robert L. Ettl, 91, of Lower Macungie Township, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House of Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of the late Gloria M. (Fink) Ettl, who died March 14, 2006. He was born in Allentown on Dec. 7, 1925 to the late Leonard and Florence (Bast) Ettl. Robert served our country faithfully in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a Service Manager for the former Daniel’s Cadillac, Allentown, until retiring after 39 years. Robert was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown, VFW-Allentown and the Bethlehem Marine Corps League.

SURVIVORS

Children: Barry R. (Janice E.) of Allentown, Denise M. (Craig D.) Knauss of Emmaus, Mary A. L. Ettl of Orefield, Jeffrey D. (Kimberly A.) of Germansville; sister: Doris Burkhart Kahle of Spring City; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Western Salisbury Cemetery, Salisbury Township. Military honors will be accorded by the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
