When Does the Saucon Valley Compost Center Close for the Season?

If you live in Hellertown or Lower Saucon Township and have yard waste to dispose of at the Saucon Valley Compost Center, you’re running out of time to do it this year.

If you live in Hellertown or Lower Saucon Township and have yard waste to dispose of at the Saucon Valley Compost Center, you’re running out of time to do it this year.

The compost center remains open until Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 (closed Friday, Nov. 24).

Its regular hours of operation are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The facility is closed from December through May and on all legal holidays, although it will be open Jan. 6, 13 and 20, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Christmas tree disposal.

ID cards are issued at the Lower Saucon Township building, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, and Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., Hellertown, Monday through Friday, during office hours to residents with a current driver’s license. Limit one per household.

The Compost Center is located at 2011 Springtown Hill Road, Hellertown, PA 18055.
