Doggy Dao & Cat’s Meow in Hellertown stocks a huge variety of natural pet foods and holistic pet supplies.

A Hellertown pet supply store known for its commitment to customer service and large selection of natural and organic pet products will kick off the 2017 holiday shopping season in a big way.

Doggy Dao & Cat’s Meow–which sells wholesome pet food, treats, supplements, toys, accessories and more–is offering customers big savings at their annual Small Business Saturday sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 25.

Doggy Dao & Cat’s Meow is located at 1238 Main St., Hellertown. There is plenty of free parking in a large lot behind the building.

The way the sale works is that the more you spend, the more you’ll save.

Spend $30 and you’ll save $5, spend $50 and save $10, spend $75 and save $15 or spend $100 and save $20. Shoppers will also receive a voucher for the same amount of savings to use on a return visit in December.

As part of the sale there will be lots of in-store promotions and BOGO (buy one, get one free) sales, too.

Visitors will enjoy complimentary refreshments, free raffles and free goodie bags (with a purchase–while supplies last).

“This sale is our way of saying thank you for supporting this small, local business,” owner Julie Van Vliet said.

New Jersey Boxer Rescue will also be at the store from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday to perform community outreach with one of their dogs, Sadie. A raffle will be held to benefit the organization.

Even if they can’t visit the store Saturday, Van Vliet encouraged pet owners to mark their calendars for another upcoming event: Pet Photos With Santa on Saturday, Dec. 16, which will benefit Pocono Greyhound Rescue.

Pet Photos With Santa will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cost is $8 for a beautiful framed 4×6 photo with Santa and $5 for each additional photo, or $10 for a multi-photo CD (perfect for making holiday cards).

Doggy Dao & Cat’s Meow is located at 1238 Main St., Hellertown. The store’s regular hours are Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday, noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
