Along Main Street in Hellertown there is a Christmas tree stand outside a church. Perhaps you’ve whizzed by it thinking it’s just another popup tree sale. In fact, it’s a special type of sale where the proceeds benefit local students.

The tree sale held annually outside Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main St., Hellertown, is organized by the volunteer group Saucon Valley Music Connection. It benefits band and chorus students at Saucon Valley High School.

In fact, it’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the group.

The Saucon Valley Music Connection Christmas tree sale continues through Sunday, Dec. 10, and major credit cards are accepted along with cash.

A wide variety of fresh-cut trees in various shapes and sizes are available for purchase.

Shop the final days of the sale: Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. With snow in the forecast, you may want to shop early!
