A new face on Lower Saucon Township Council was welcomed at its Jan. 2 reorganization meeting.
Ryan Stauffer–who was elected to council in November, replacing Ron Horiszny who had served since the summer of 2005–was sworn in by township staff member and notary public Diane Palik.
Stauffer, who lives on Bucknell Circle in the township with his wife Kristen, graduated from Saucon Valley High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College before attending the University of California, Irvine, where he received his Juris Doctor.
He is currently employed at the law firm of Gross McGinley, LLP, in Allentown.
Also sworn in at the meeting was Glenn Kern, who was re-elected to his fifth term on council in November.
Council elected Sandra Yerger as its President and Priscilla deLeon as Vice President.
The fifth member of Lower Saucon Township Council is councilwoman Donna Louder.
Council members serve four-year terms and council meetings are normally held the first and third Wednesday of each month at Lower Saucon Town Hall, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem.
