Margaret E. ‘Peggy’ Gasdaska, 84, of Fountain Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Gasdaska Sr., who died July 29, 2016.

Margaret E. “Peggy” Gasdaska, 84, of Fountain Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Gasdaska Sr., who died July 29, 2016. She was born in Fountain Hill on April 21, 1933 to the late Francis and Bridget (Gallagher) Ortwein. Peggy was the Supervisor of Central Mail at the former Bethlehem Steel for 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

SURVIVORS

Loving children: Susan Ann (Robert D.) Takach of Fountain Hill, Robert J. (Louise M.) Gasdaska Jr. of Fountain Hill; siblings: Vincent (Marion) of Hershey, Thomas in Florida, Theresa Roebuck of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Dennis (Tara) Takach and Zachary Gasdaska; great-grandchildren: Aiden and Ryan Takach. She was predeceased by 9 siblings.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at her church, 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem. The calling hour will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday.  The interment will conclude services at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Bethlehem. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
