This Sunday, June 24, a loud rumbling from the north won’t warn of an impending thunderstorm. Instead it will signal an approaching wave of Bikers Against Bullies on Harleys en route to deliver proceeds from a charity motorcycle ride for St. Luke’s Pediatrics.
The second annual Caring for Kids Ride will start in Parryville, Carbon County, and end at the Silver Creek Athletic Association in Springfield Township, Bucks County, where a family-friendly celebration will be open to the public, pediatric patients and their families from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
“The local Lehigh Valley Chapter of Bikers Against Bullies targets children in grades one to six,” says Gino Russo, Pennsylvania liaison for Bikers Against Bullies. “We strive to teach children to accept differences amongst others.”
Russo is the co-owner of the Belmont Inne in Lower Saucon Township.
The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Bikers Against Bullies holds a fundraiser each year to support a local cause.
