Rev. Barbara Louise Housley, 70, of Doylestown, died suddenly Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 19, 1948 to the late Morris W. and Lois Mae (Harrison) Housley. She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, received a BS in Elementary Education from Mansfield University of PA, a Master’s degree in Education from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, and a Master’s of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. Her professional life included employment as a second grade teacher in the Lehighton Area School District, Associated Pastor at Grove United Methodist Church, West Chester, and Pastor at Mountainhome United Methodist Church, Mountainhome, Pa.

Brother: Howard H. Housley (Mary M.), niece: Laura A. Housley, all of Hellertown; niece: Nicole Regan of Manheim; grandnieces: Olivia and Mikayla.
SERVICE
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at Mountainhome United Methodist Church, Rtes. 191 and 390, Mountainhome, Pa. There will be no calling hours.
