Rev. Barbara Louise Housley, 70, of Doylestown, died suddenly Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.

Rev. Barbara Louise Housley, 70, of Doylestown, died suddenly Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.Housley She was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 19, 1948 to the late Morris W. and Lois Mae (Harrison) Housley. She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, received a BS in Elementary Education from Mansfield University of PA, a Master’s degree in Education from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, and a Master’s of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. Her professional life included employment as a second grade teacher in the Lehighton Area School District, Associated Pastor at Grove United Methodist Church, West Chester, and Pastor at Mountainhome United Methodist Church, Mountainhome, Pa.

SURVIVORS

Brother: Howard H. Housley (Mary M.), niece: Laura A. Housley, all of Hellertown; niece: Nicole Regan of Manheim; grandnieces: Olivia and Mikayla.

SERVICE

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at Mountainhome United Methodist Church, Rtes. 191 and 390, Mountainhome, Pa. There will be no calling hours. The private interment will be at Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
