John P. Warnke, 51, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at the VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.

John P. Warnke, 51, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at the VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Gwyn D. (Johnson) Warnke. John was born in Allentown on Jan. 3, 1967 to the late Barbara L. (Miller) and Carl F. Warnke Jr. John was a dedicated “Dad” all of his life. He worked at Lafayette College in the IT Department for five years, and as a history substitute teacher in Emmaus, where he also coached football. He was a member of Saucon Valley Youth Sports Association as a football coach for many years, and was a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout in NC.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 25 years; children: Katelyn M., Mackenzee L., Nickolas A., Mason A., all at home; his furry princess: Sophee; brother: Eugene Carl (Colleen McGuire) Warnke of Bethlehem. He was predeceased by siblings: Brian J. “Bubba” Warnke, Glen A. Meyers Jr. and Louise A. Snyder.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 5 p.m. The interment will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
