Kathryn R. ‘Cassie’ Glagola, 89, of Hellertown, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. Arrangements are by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
Kathryn R. “Cassie” Glagola, 89, of Hellertown, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 at Saucon Valley Manor. She was born in Bethlehem on Jan. 23, 1929, the youngest of 12 children born to William and Bertha (Fluck) Rentzheimer. Kathryn was married to Robert J. Glagola for 42 years before his death in 1992. Kathryn was a graduate of Hellertown High School. She worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp., A.G. Baba and Bethleon Togs. Kathryn was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Hellertown. She will be remembered as a strong, funny and caring woman. Kathryn enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts and visiting the casino.
SURVIVORS
She will be dearly missed by her daughter: Karen G. Bearse of Bethlehem; sister: Elizabeth Sloyer of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and grandchildren: William and Kevin Bearse, and Kate, Zachary and Kristen Glagola. Kathryn was predeceased by her son: Michael; granddaughter: Lauren; brothers: John, William, David, Richard and Karl Rentzheimer; and sisters: Henrietta Grubb, Madeline Judd, Isobel Wunderly, Louise Szakaly and Frances Hartnett.
SERVICE
A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. An 11 a.m. service will follow at Christ Lutheran Church of Hellertown, 69 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
