Woman Who Caused Injury Accident Was DUI, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police said Wednesday that they have charged a 19-year-old woman with one count of misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance and two traffic-related summary offenses.

Lower Saucon Township Police said Wednesday that they have charged a 19-year-old woman with one count of misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance and two traffic-related summary offenses in connection with an accident she allegedly caused last month.

According to police, Hailey Brianna Calzarette, no address provided, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance Aug. 23 when she allegedly caused a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Easton and Lower Saucon roads.

ā€œMs. Calzarette failed to stop atĀ a posted stop sign on Lower Saucon Road,ā€ police said in a post on their Crimewatch website.

Police said both Calzarette and the other driver were transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

ā€œMs. Calzarette submitted to a blood test and was foundĀ to have been driving under the influence of a controlled substance,ā€ police said.
