A Lower Saucon Township teen is facing charges after police say he allegedly threatened to cause bodily harm to his father and swung a pipe at him.

In a post published on the department’s Crimewatch website Monday, township police said the boy was “swinging a pipe back and forth towards his father” when officers–responding to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress–arrived at the family’s home at 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Police did not identify the location where the incident allegedly occurred.

“Police gave verbal commands for the male to drop the pipe and it was then learned the male threatened to cause bodily harm to his father, damaged a vehicle and other property at the home,” police said.

After he was taken into custody the boy was charged as a juvenile with terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and detained at the Northampton County Juvenile Detention Center, police added.
